This richly illustrated guidebook book is ` intended to provide a traveler touring Yugoslavia by car with the art, customs and traditions of the people as well as with the landscapes and cultural monuments. The tour is planned around the main routes. It begins with the Adriatic highway which links Istria, Dalmatia and the Montengrin littoral. The road then traverses Montenegro, Kosovo, and Metohija and enters Macedonia meeting up with the Unity-Fraternity Highway which extends from the Greek border in the south to the Austrian frontier in the north, crossing continental Yugoslavia-Macedonia, Serbia and parts of Croatia and Slovenia which are also very rich in folk traditions.`
